Mama

by Ervita Carolina Tania

Looked back in moments

Too many to be poured into delimited words

Without me shading tears

The love in your eyes watching me playing sands in my kindergarten uniform

The pride shaking your voice as you dressed me to my graduation

The joy brightened your face to see me home from my youth adventure

And as I grew older

Time slowly scrapped your existent

I refused to acknowledge it until the day you were lying helplessly

Your lips that once were always covered with pleasant smiles

Could only bumbled your words

And only slight nod as an answered to my questions

Far as it may seem now, Mama

You have ended your own journey in glory

Left me with legacy of your life values

Values that I keep working on to follow

As I learnt how wonderful your soul is

From the fraction of memories hanging left

I’m not proud with what I’ve become now, Mama

I know that will never bother you

Because I will always be your daughter

You are irreplaceable, Mama
