by Arthur Davenport
Deep in the well of the mind
lie swirls and lines.
Words, that describe,
emerging, to scribe.
Flowing out of a ball point pen
to conjure diction sired by imagination.
Begat from rumination.
Arising from a pond of ink
to symbolize thoughts I think.
Carrying concepts put on a page,
to reach other minds in future times.
Transcendent thought
travels to another age.
The inkwell of my mind,
spilling scribbles on a page.
The ranting pen of a love-demented poet
recites on a paper stage.
